As an Israeli (who doesn’t like the archaic “Hava Nagila” song too much), I must say the Iranian rendition shown here is so much more beautiful, and this is no wonder, as Persian music is the most beautiful and gentle in the middle east and one of the richest musical traditions in the world and this can be heard even in this small example.
By the way, I remember being in Pune, India, as a traveller, several years back, where a lot of Iranian students attend the local university and have their own community there, and I remember visiting a cafe of Iranians, on my own, just out of curiosity and desire to meet them as people, but silly me I was to scared to say a word and present myself to someone (maybe someone there hates me because I’m from Israel), so I just sat quietly and watched all the other tables and saw only young beautiful men and women that all looked very nice and intelligent and looked to me very similar to the the best of the people I know here in my own countries. And this is the image I have about the Iranian people ever since – very far from the what’s conveyed on the media, of fanatic ayatollas that want to wipe the zionist entity off the map etc (forgetting it’s regular human beings and women and children they talk about) – very nice sympathetic intelligent clever people who don’t mean no harm. (well, I also personally met a few other Iranians on that trip, with whom I actuanlly communicated… so this image is well-based on more meetings than just that lone shy visit to the cafe… But that visit to the cafe for some reason is what has remained strong in my memory).

Back in the early 1960′s I was a little boy and I had the experience of living in Iran for a little more than two years. My father was working for an Italian company as the head geologist for Dez Dam.
We lived in the high desert in the middle of nowhere with other families/single people that were working on the dam. We would take trips to Dezful, Isfahan and even once Tehran (by train over the mountains).
I had a great time in Iran – although to be honest the huge scorpions, centipedes, and aggressive ants were scary… I also got to experience dust devils and swarms of locusts.
The people that I saw and met in Iran were always nice to me, sweet and very kind. They are a proud people, and rightly so.
It’s one of my fondest wishes to visit Iran again someday – I hope love can make the possibility happen!

Each time I have been there I experienced more love than anywhere else I’ve ever been! Here is a little bit about Iran. My family in Iran loves to dance. I swear if you were to visit, they would take you in and have a party for you. They are not involved in politics at all. They just enjoy dancing and getting together for family gatherings. I know Israel would be the same! Here is a little story for you. One time in Iran I was crossing the street and I saw a man carrying a fresh bread. It looked delicious and I told my uncle how good it looked. The man ran across the street to offer me some. I was not even hungry. I am so grateful for everyone’s kind words. This campaign brings tears to my eyes.

In my whole life I´ve met around 10 iranian people, through the company I work at (www.tramontina.com). We export to Iran and they are our countries. Last month they came to Brazil to visit us, and they were very sweet. I got the chance to see a whole different side of the iranian people, and I realized that in a way they are very similar to us, brazilians! They are happy, easygoing, caring and tender, even though they have such a tough situation on their country. If Brazil was facing a war, I don´t think that I would be able to be like them. I would be sad and grumpy, probably.
So I really started to admire them, for having this approach to life.
I cannot believe that they would fight a war, and we have to help them!

As an Israeli (who doesn’t like the archaic “Hava Nagila” song too much), I must say the Iranian rendition shown here is so much more beautiful, and this is no wonder, as Persian music is the most beautiful and gentle in the middle east and one of the richest musical traditions in the world and this can be heard even in this small example.
By the way, I remember being in Pune, India, as a traveller, several years back, where a lot of Iranian students attend the local university and have their own community there, and I remember visiting a cafe of Iranians, on my own, just out of curiosity and desire to meet them as people, but silly me I was to scared to say a word and present myself to someone (maybe someone there hates me because I’m from Israel), so I just sat quietly and watched all the other tables and saw only young beautiful men and women that all looked very nice and intelligent and looked to me very similar to the the best of the people I know here in my own countries. And this is the image I have about the Iranian people ever since – very far from the what’s conveyed on the media, of fanatic ayatollas that want to wipe the zionist entity off the map etc (forgetting it’s regular human beings and women and children they talk about) – very nice sympathetic intelligent clever people who don’t mean no harm. (well, I also personally met a few other Iranians on that trip, with whom I actuanlly communicated… so this image is well-based on more meetings than just that lone shy visit to the cafe… But that visit to the cafe for some reason is what has remained strong in my memory).

Back in the early 1960′s I was a little boy and I had the experience of living in Iran for a little more than two years. My father was working for an Italian company as the head geologist for Dez Dam.
We lived in the high desert in the middle of nowhere with other families/single people that were working on the dam. We would take trips to Dezful, Isfahan and even once Tehran (by train over the mountains).
I had a great time in Iran – although to be honest the huge scorpions, centipedes, and aggressive ants were scary… I also got to experience dust devils and swarms of locusts.
The people that I saw and met in Iran were always nice to me, sweet and very kind. They are a proud people, and rightly so.
It’s one of my fondest wishes to visit Iran again someday – I hope love can make the possibility happen!

Me, as an Iranian, love Israel and Israeli people. I’m sure, most of Iranian people also love Israel. It’s just Iranian government makes conflicts.
I am neither Israeli nor Iranian, I am just someone who was lucky spend ome time in Iran and to get to know the courage, the kindness and the empathy of Iranians. Ordinary people who help each other through the dark times that they are going through at the moment. People, who told me while partying that they would be prepared to go to prison again for what they believed in, freedom. Who despite the pressure they face each day, still want to achieve what they thirst for without violence. I have spend so wonderful month in this country and I really hope that many of you can share this experience at some point and that there will be a day where I can enter Israel with sn Iranian stamp in my passport ;o) I am deeply touched and inspired by your movement, your compassion and the hope you are spreading throughout the world…

Hi I am Persian and live in Los Angeles with lots of wonderful friends from around the world. I have been to Iran 3 times in my life. Each time I have been there I experienced more love than anywhere else I’ve ever been! Here is a little bit about Iran. My family in Iran loves to dance. I swear if you were to visit, they would take you in and have a party for you. They are not involved in politics at all. They just enjoy dancing and getting together for family gatherings. I know Israel would be the same! Here is a little story for you. One time in Iran I was crossing the street and I saw a man carrying a fresh bread. It looked delicious and I told my uncle how good it looked. The man ran across the street to offer me some. I was not even hungry. I am so grateful for everyone’s kind words. This campaign brings tears to my eyes.

We Iranian don’t have any problem with those who are Jews. But seems that our governors don’t think like that. You know why Ahmadinejad hates Jews? Since Arabs do and because he want to be popular among them shows himself Antisemitist. His people don’t believe in him as a president and he needs Arabs support. And why Arabs hate Jews? Since they are illiterate and naive. More than half of them even can’t read and write and extremists use this point of weakness as a tool to reach their goal through people. They say to people that all of problems they face in their life is because of Jews. They are enemies of God and Islam. Jews are of the dog and must be killed. And these people easily without thinking believe that. So you see. We are in the middle of a stupid struggle which our government tries to lead the region by Antisemitic behavior.

Hi, my name is Paola and I from Brazil. I was very touched with this initiative and I think that this what the world needs. Only love can stop a war. Only love can move mountains. Only love can keep us alive.
I shared the video on my facebook profile half an hour ago, and a lot of people already shared it. I will do my best so that the biggest amount of people will promote it, to help you to stop the war.
In my whole life I´ve met around 10 iranian people, through the company I work at (www.tramontina.com). We export to Iran and they are our countries. Last month they came to Brazil to visit us, and they were very sweet. I got the chance to see a whole different side of the iranian people, and I realized that in a way they are very similar to us, brazilians! They are happy, easygoing, caring and tender, even though they have such a tough situation on their country. If Brazil was facing a war, I don´t think that I would be able to be like them. I would be sad and grumpy, probably.
So I really started to admire them, for having this approach to life.
I cannot believe that they would fight a war, and we have to help them!
